FareShare use donated food that is no longer required and would otherwise end up in landfill sites. The food is still completely in date and safe to eat. 

Fareshare works to ensure that the food is given to people who need it (e.g. people living in emergency accommodation.)

Volunteer roles required:

Driver

To drive refrigerated vehicle around Newcastle and Sunderland stopping at projects to deliver food. No extra requirements other than a regular driver’s licence required. No age restrictions.

General Warehouse volunteer
(based at Newburn) to help sort food and other general tasks.

Benefits to volunteers:
