The Coalition is an independent registered charity which seeks to reduce crime and fear of crime and so improve the quality of life for those living and working in the North East of England through a working partnership between community, public, private and voluntary sectors.
The Coalition Against Crime Schools Project is about engaging young people in schools with regards to behaviour. What do they determine to be acceptable and unacceptable behaviour? The Coalition will be working with ten schools in Newcastle and volunteers are need to them deliver the work. This will be a pilot project beginning in October 2005 and dates have already been agreed with all the schools.
Volunteers are sought who either have experience of working with young people between the ages of 6 and 16 years or people who would like to gain experience.
