Gas Safe Register will replace CORGI gas registration in Great Britain on 1 April 2009. It will be the official industry stamp for gas safety. The Health and Safety Executive, who is responsible for regulating gas safety in Great Britain, will oversee Gas Safe Register. The new register will provide enhanced levels of service and clearly written rules of registration. There will also be new services and benefits designed to improve the registration scheme and promote gas safety.
You are now able to access to an Adviser through the LiveChat web page on the SAC website, each day during term time. This will run 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday (except Wednesday which will be 12 noon to 4pm). For availability during vacation time please check Live Chat webpage.
Welcome to the webpages of the Student Advice Centre. We hope that the information contained on this site is both informative and useful to you during your time here at Newcastle University. During your time at Newcastle University you may find that not everything runs smoothly and so you may need to seek help to sort out your concerns.
The Students Union and the University recognises that this happens from time to time, and so supports the Student Advice Centre. We are an independent advice service for students and have strict rules regarding the confidentiality of student contact.
Our service is available to any student who has an issue that needs resolving. No one is excluded. We even include pre-entry students and former students (for up to one year after they have finished their course).
The Student Advice Centre is situated on the first floor of the Union Building, near to SCAN (Student Community Action Newcastle). We are directly opposite the lift. The Union Building is on Kings Walk and is referenced as building number 30 on the University campus map.
