If you are interested in becoming a student representative, check out the positions available. If you think one is suited to you then get yourself nominated! It is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with your students union, meet loads of people, have fun and of course greatly enhance your C.V!
Election dates will be advertised around the union, when this happens you can pick up your nomination form from the general office (2nd floor of the union building). You need 12 signatures from your fellow students to get yourself nominated. Once this happens you will need to get a campaign team together and make your publicity....poster, flyers, banners, t shirts etc.
Once campaign week starts you have need to sell, sell, sell!! Talk to as many people as possible about the elections and why they should vote for you! Get as many friends to help you, the more people talking about you the better. The ballot boxes will be open 9 - 6pm on Election Day ... then the counting begins!
The next elections will be held in February- March 2008
