As Union Society President it is my role to represent your opinions on issues that affect you to any external organisations. I'm usually the first point of contact for University staff and any student with a complaint or query. I'll be here for you at any time, so if you have any problems with your course, your accommodation, or anything to do with your time here at Newcastle, I'd like to hear about it and to help in any way that I can. I want to ensure that every member of Union Society is represented fairly and individually cared for. Ideas, suggestions, complaints and comments are always welcome because I do work for you and it's my job to make sure the Union delivers what you need!

My time is dedicated to upholding the interests of all our members by promoting and supporting the core functions of the Union Society along with the educational and welfare needs of its members whether that's locally, nationally or within the university. I represent your views within the University and sit on numerous democratic bodies, such as University Senate, Council and Court. I also liaise with the National Union of Students and other Students' Unions to ensure that Newcastle Union Society keeps ahead of the pack on issues that affect you!

Another part of my job is helping to promote ways everyone can get involved in the union from societies, committees, or elections. I think its key that more students get involved in student politics and care about how their Union is ran. We need to make our democracy transparent to all students and I hope to do this by expanding voter turn-out and involving our increasing forms of union media in the election process.

I'm very approachable and I'll always do my best to help you out.
