Job description: Gateshead Leisure Centre has two vacancies for part time Health and Fitness Assistants to supervise the use of the public fitness room. Duties include customer inductions, giving advice and support to a range of users and cleaning operations to maintain high standards of presentation.

Job description: Participants required to take part in an experiment looking at the effects Ginkgo biloba alone and in combination with Panax ginseng. In particular its effects on performance and mood during mentally demanding tasks. You will be required to carry out computerised tasks and to take some capsules which may or may not contain Ginkgo biloba alone or in combination with Panax ginseng. In between some of the testing sessions you will be given treatment to take every morning for approximately two weeks.

Job description: Healthy 18-35 yr olds are required to take part in an investigation of the effects of taking a fish oil dietary supplement on mental function and mood. The experiment will require you to take a daily fish oil supplement for 12 weeks. To assess mental function and mood you will be required to come to our labs at Northumbria University on 3 days over the 12 week period.
Person specification: To be eligible to enter the study all of the following criteria must apply to you:
- A healthy non-smoker
- Not currently taking any prescription medicines (excluding oral contraception) or illicit social drugs
- English is your native tongue
- You do not consume oily fish (e.g. salmon, mackerel, sardines) more than once a week
