Job description: The Gateshead Care Call service, which is based in the Civic Centre Gateshead, is a 24 hour, 365 days a year emergency response service to residents within the borough. Duties will include visits to clients to provide advice and support as necessary, cover for Sheltered Housing locations throughout the borough, calls handling, contacting emergency services and liaising with social care, relatives and other agencies.
Person specification: Applicants should have experience of working in the social care or housing field working with members of the public, should be flexible and able to demonstrate good communication skills as well as a having a caring attitude and should be genuinely interested in the wellbeing of the elderly/disabled. It is desirable that applicants have some computer skills.
