Job description: Required to work in a busy kitchen.  Duties will  include serving, clearing and working on a dishwasher.

Vacancy 5466 - General Catering Assistants (flexible hours)

Job description: Working in a restaurant on campus to assist in the provision of a quality food and beverage service to all University customers.  Assisting in the setting up and clearing of the restaurant.  Preparing and packaging of sandwiches, salads and desserts.  To stock the main serveries and mobile food displays as required.  Additional services are the provision of a food and beverage service for meetings and conferences.
Person specification: Food Hygiene certificate is desirable (but not essential).  Manual handling and COSHH training is desirable (but not essential).  Training if required, can be given off-the-job for each of these requirements.  Good team working and excellent customer care skills are essential.  A minimum of two years experience in a similar role and busy catering operation is also desirable, but not essential, as training can be provided.

Vacancy 5447 - Catering Assistants to work in Global or Rijo's (Union Society Building)

Job description: The positions are to support the provision of a quality catering service to all Union Society customers. You will be preparing and serving quality food and beverages from a variety of outlets to meet the demand of customers, ensuring items are replenished and portion control is exercised in line with the catering operations policy. Normal service is counter style and waiter/waitress style in the Global, although special functions and events may require silver service provision. You will also be required to undertake general cleaning of catering areas.
Person specification: A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (1 day course) is desirable. COSHH and manual handling training are desirable. Off the job training will be provided for each of these requirements. Good customer service skills, the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team are essential. Six months experience in a customer service environment is desirable.
