Vacancy 5432 – Archiving Clerk

Job description: A Clerk is required for this very busy Archiving section within the Medical Records Department. The main duties of the post are to import all archived information onto a computerised document management system and to ensure all data is accurate and of good quality. The role also includes the identification and recording of patients medical notes that meet the criteria for archiving.
Person specification: The post requires good organisational and communication skills with IT and keyboard skills and the ability to work under pressure.  Previous NHS experience and knowledge of Medical Records procedures desirable. 
Hours of work: 18.5 hours/week

Vacancy 5431 – Audio Typist

Job description: A position has arisen for an audio typist to assist the secretary in a busy Anaesthetics Department at North Tyneside General Hospital.  The successful candidate will possess communicate with Consultants, GP’s and patients on the telephone and in person in a pleasant and helpful manner. They will be required to co-ordinate with the secretary to prioritise the workload of the department.
Person specification: Typing/word processing and audio typing to RSA/OCR Level II or equivalent is essential. Experience of medical terminology would be an advantage, as would experience of working with a variety of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.  You must be able to work with minimal supervision. 
Hours of work: 20 hours/week

Job description: A media monitoring company in Newcastle is seeking a Hungarian language speaker to assist with the computer-based analysis of Internet banner adverts, with the categorisation of the adverts and translation of headlines from Hungarian to English.
Person specification: Fluency in Hungarian and English are essential.  An eye for detail and a methodical approach are important.  Keyboard skills would be an advantage but are not essential.  You should be available to work in Newcastle over the vacation periods.
Hours of work: Flexible, 5 hours/week, to be worked Mon-Fri daytimes

Job description: This job involves the monitoring and translation of Turkish TV advertising.  You will be using various software applications to locate and encode ads from recorded TV, accurately entering all relevant details of the encoded ads onto a database, providing translations and creative but concise description of the ads.
Person Specification: You must have an excellent command of the English language (written, oral and aural) and Turkish.  You also should have proven keyboard skills (at least 30 words per minute) and working knowledge of MS Office products.  You should also have good attention to detail, be a team worker, and be able to work unsupervised and to deadlines.
Hours of work: Up to 20 hours/week: Mon - Fri daytimes

Job description: An interpreting agency located in Gateshead are seeking a person to assist them in their office.  Duties will including filing, answering the telephone, data management and a wide range of other general office duties as are suitable for their line of work.
Person specification: Applicants must be fluent in both English and at least one other language to a high standard.  A general specialisation in languages would be especially preferred.  Work experience is not important, but ideally you should be computer literate and be familiar with Office programs such as Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.
