Newcastle University Conservation Society.
We are an environmentally friendly, outdoor appreciating society that places a strong emphasis on doing worthwhile conservation work whilst having a good time. We go on a range of tasks such as coppicing, tree planting, hedge-laying, pond maintenance, dry-stone walling - and much, much more!
We have weekly tasks, mainly on Sundays and some Saturdays and mid-week tasks too.
Our socials are great fun, including pub-crawls, pudding parties, bug parties (dressing up and looking at insects!), wine and cheese parties! These are usually on Thursdays.
We go on a weekend residential once a term with the BTCV. These are free! And very popular! And you can sign up to the Millennium Volunteers this way.
