Do you have a thirst for adventure and a craving to travel the world? Are you game for a laugh and willing to make yourself look ridiculous to achieve your goals? Do you have a competitive streak and good team spirit?
If you answered yes to all of the above, then you would be the perfect participant for the World Adventure Trophy. For the first time ever leading adventure travel companies Intrepid Travel, Dragoman and Madventurer have teamed together to bring this weird and wonderful competition to Newcastle University on 20th February. The triumphant team will win a six-week trip of a lifetime to Africa, South America or Asia combining adventure travel, overlanding and volunteering experiences from these travel specialists.
The extreme competition will involve teams of three going head to head against fellow students and ultimately other universities across the country and taking part in a medley of bizarre and slightly off the wall travel themed contests. Some of the games involved in this competition include:

Pot Head
Chop Chop
If you want to do something out of the ordinary this summer, then why not put your name down? It’ll be far more exciting than getting a mundane summer job, or for those graduating it could be the perfect start to a gap year before entering into the real working world. Travel experiences like these are a great way of making your CV stand out to prospective employers, especially during these tough economic times. All it takes is nine minutes to face the challenge and give yourself the chance to change your future.
If you don’t fancy public humiliation and would prefer to have a laugh at your friends’ expense there’ll be opportunities to win prizes such as a travel voucher worth a whooping £1,000 as well as lots of other free stuff (including beer!) for just coming along to the event.
