Saturday 19th September @ The Union

The opening night of Freshers' Week 2009, and what better way to kick things off than by celebrating the summer in style?

For those of you who've spent the last couple of months lounging by the sea it'll be a great way to ease yourself into Uni life, for those who haven't (like us) it's the beach holiday we've been dreaming about all year!

Watch out for at least 6 different music policies, spread across the entire Union building and its 6 bars, 20 tonnes of genuine sand in our main room and more inflatable beach balls then you can comfortably fit in one place.

Ben Yates will be headlining our main room and we'll also be having a headphone disco under our outdoor canopy.

ALTERNATIVE EVENT - Ghost Walk @ The Castle Keep

From 8pm at the Union, and heading down to the Castle Keep, this is a great chance to experience a different side of Newcastle. You'll be led through crime, witchcraft, life, plague, hangings and suicide, and you'll be absolutely terrified!

Not for the faint hearted!!
