Newcastle provides the perfect place to chill out and relax in between lectures or even exams.

There are several parks scattered across the toon:

Jesmond Dene - A quick trip on the metro or a walk to jesmond allows you to experience pets corner and a great place for BBQ's in the summer. Armstrong building holds an arts and crafts stalls, every Sunday.

Leazes Park - Situated between Castle leazes and Richardson road accomodation, and right next to Newcastle United stadium. Includes a lake, playground, tennis and basketball courts. The park can provide entertainment for students returning to halls from a night out with the herds of cows which roam freely in term time!

Exhibition Park - Located near the medical school, boasts tennis courts, a skate park and plenty of open grass areas for football games
