WHAT IS ‘GIVE IT A GO’?
GIVE IT A GO is YOUR chance to reinvent YOUR spare time at YOUR Union!
· Every term, the Union Society puts on a programme of activities for students to make the most out of their spare time.
· These activities vary wildly and could be anything from Burlesque Dancing to Dodgeball, from interview skills to meditation!
· This is your chance to try out some different activities for FREE or low cost and...well...Give it a Go! (The clue's in the name...)
So what do I do?
It's easy to get involved!
Firstly, click here for this term's activities and see what floats your boat to try out - you can do as many or as few activities as you want!
Secondly, register your interest EARLY by emailing Emily at giag.union@ncl.ac.uk, or popping into the Activities Centre, 1st Floor, Union building to get your ticket for your event/s...
Thirdly, Get out there and Give it a Go
CALLING ALL CLUBS AND SOCIETIES
Do you want to attract more members, get FREE campus wide promotion, and get some money and help towards your activities?!
Why not run a Give it a Go activity! We have a full time member of staff and a budget available to help YOUR club/society appeal to more members by getting students involved in getting MORE out of their University experience.

What would you like to see yourself and your mates Giving a Go?
It can be ANYTHING; we are still in the early stages of developing the programme, so if you have any suggestions, send them to Emily at giag.union@ncl.ac.uk and I promise I will do my best to include your ideas in the programme. After all, it’s YOUR Give it a Go from YOUR Union.
Go wild and send in any ideas you might have...there really is no limit on the suggestions, so feel free to knock yourself (and us!) out with your wild and wonderful plans for your spare time!
Fancy getting more involved?
Interested in getting valuable marketing/event management experience on your CV?
Why not help Give it a Go out with the running and/or promotion of the events? Be part of a street team responsible for the management of events, promotion of the programme and anything else you want to get involved with!
If you have a particular interest that you'd like to run an event in, we have a budget and a full time member of staff to help your dreams be realised-so why not get in touch and get some great experience?
Email giag.union@ncl.ac.uk with the heading 'Street Team' to arrange a time to discuss your ideas/see how you can get involved!!
